riding the Zephir

i don't know what's happening but here on the island the wind never stop this year, it's a crazy good season and it's not finish yet, you should come over and enjoy our spot, link

We are mostly riding our edge , but few times i rode the Zephir 17m in small waves and near the reef in the lagoon where the water is just flat and glassy. it's such an easy kite for this size, with my bigger board i can ride i guess at 10 knots.

i did 8 km downwind in the turquoise laggon, then i saw Titaua was following me by the road for the security, so i decide to stop by a really small village call Tefareriii, so from the water i just jump onto the football field then Titaua gave me my longboard (skateboard), so i played for a while, then suddently all the youngs came over, i was reallu fun to be with them, they wanted me to jump everywhere.

I tell you that, you defenetly should get the Zephir

Two days ago on west coast

ouaaaaa, we finally got the north wind, which allow us to ride the west coast where there's some of the sickest waves. so the swell was south ouest with north wind. That spot you need to lunch from the boat so it's pretty technical but we stayed tehre for 6hours non stop, and had a little picnic on the boat when Titaua was kiting some beautifull barrel with no surfers that day, it was just magic.

too bad this is the kind of spot you 're waiting for 3 mounths have only one day session. Can't wait for the next one

Two weeks kiting around the island

Hello kiters,

Me ,my wife Titaua and Kailea my daughter are back in our second home in French Polynesia.

at first the wind was not at the rendez-vous yet, but after 3 weeks waiting, especially for the custom to deliver me our news edge kites, the wind came with some great swell, and now it's been non stop riding on our 9m edge since two weeks around some perfect spots.

i actually just finished the editing of a new video where i tried different view with the gopro. So even if there's no hard core stuff yet in, it's still good to see this paradise island where we are 5 kiters now , some perfect flat spots, the lagoon is just enormous and the waves are barreling , perfect long and fast as we love.

My Edge kite are just too great once again for those fast waves, i think it's the perfect toys for our kind of conditions ;( Thanks ROB once again ) , i've been using the 13m edge for few days , i put straight away the back lines to get more bar pressure on +, and as everybody said it's a really fast kite, there's no speed limit if you're on the right spot, i should grab a gps one day just to see, it should be interesting.
the 9m edge is just the machine, for sure everything has been improved to go more up wind and to get more air time jump, not like on the snow yet, but it's good enough for me when i hit a wave.

I really like the design , everything is more simple on the kite and also on the bar. It's so easy to lunch the kite by yourself i love it and i never had any problem to release the security when i finish the session.

o yeah i forgot but one day mother nature decided that i had to try my 17m Zephir, i was so amazed on how easy it was to lunch with such a big kite, i remember few years ago with some other brand, was not the same story for lunching.

the wind was 10 to 12 knots and i was just cruising full speed on the lagoon trying few tricks like on my 13m edge, almost...I'm really happy to have that one in my quiver.

For now i have to spend some time here (poor me) and working on a project with Redbull for the next surf competition in Teahupoo with the local surfer Michel Bourrez who is in the world top 15 on pro tour.

o yes last week i had a good surprise from Tam my brother in law, someone call me and said ,"hey bro Tam is in town",i was surprise , there was no plane that day, and i saw Tam on this huge old boat, like a old conoe, and the story was crazy see it in the news, so the day after we went kiting togheter on the east cost some perfect waves and shredding the lagoon with some big tricks and jumping over this small island. Thank you Tam to be my photographer some time.

Back in Polynesia

yeahhhhhhhhh,we got back in Huahine where we had already few crazy surf session, and i finaly got my first day on water on my 13m, and i had the chance to try my go pro in the lines, it works......!

more pictures and hopefully some great video from the dream spot.
