Welcome in my kite world

Hello everyone

Here is the first session of chasta's familly back in the warm water.
Fun day with Titaua riding along with Tam's dauther Terika.
It's nice to be able to chose the color of the kite you like. I got the red white red like the Tahitien flag.
Chasta pulls new trix every time he's back from the snow , and combine what he have experience on snow is transfert to the water.
If anyone try snowkiting for 6 month everyday and switch to the water ,he will have a weird feeling to adapt the change, for most of us , it takes one or two session , for chasta one or two tacle is enouth.
Also big up to 11 years old Terika riding with fluid style, Dad's 9m special EdgeRx color.
Tam can control the 2009 1.5m IMP with his noze, nice trix!
We are having a welcome back party on friday at Tam's place with chasta's familly and all the riders around the island.
Big waves season, so the strong current in the lagon is flatening the water. Makes up wind reach a dream but if you crash and loose your board it is harder to body drag to it. This is why you love to kiteboard with real friends that are watching you in the corner of the eyes, ready to cheer you or rescue me.

It is also a reason why we are having so much fun around team Ozone in Moorea.

Cheers
Tam

Chasta Snowkite Camps
1-8 August, 2009 Full Moon
8-15 August, 2009
29 August – 5 September 2009 Full Moon

Boarder Patrol’s Snowkite Camps are freewheeling adventures chasing the wind around the Southern Alps.  We’ll pick you up at the airport on day 1 and deliver you back completely windblown on the last day.  In between we’ll either stay in remote mountain huts where the kiting is right outside the door, or in Queenstown or Wanaka where we have access to the region’s nightlife.  We have endless miles of flat and rolling terrain for beginners and freestyle sessions as well as steeper bowls and ridges to challenge those with more experience looking to push their limits.

The week will start with an opportunity to tune and transform the various kiting rigs for optimum use on the snow.  The first session will be getting to know the terrain and riding abilities of the group.  The camp is all about maximum progression for each person and having a blast.  Ozone will be supplying demo gear including a range of 2010 kites just released! You’ll have the opportunity to try different kites and rigs and find what works best for your style of riding.  Each day we will assess the conditions and pick terrain and missions appropriate to the various levels of riding within the group. The camp is open to beginners through to experienced snowkiters.

Since 3 weeks , i've to say the winter is totally gone, the weather got really warm and yesterday they opened the Galiber pass, but it's just good for cycling or mountain biking i guess.
now we've received our tube kites, me and Titaua are ready for  some waves and really warm weather. But before Tahiti island, we've one more week to cruise around the Serre-poncon lake.
It's a nice pretty lake, surrounded by big mountains, and now because of the rivers around, it's high tide and pretty cold. We'd 3 ok sessions on our new instinct edge rx 13m, but we did'nt got the chance yet to try the 11 or 9.
the first feeling on the 13m is really good , for a big size the turn and the speed are fast and it's good to see that everything is more simple, but now i've to try on a real spot, like when i've to launch from the boat, it's not gonna be as easy as before without the 5th line.
The touch on the new bar is super nice ,really comfort and for sure really clear and easy with only 4 lines and the ozone safety quality guarantee. With the safety on the chickenloop you are able to re-ride once you’ve pulled it, which makes this a perfect freestyle bar.
so next mounth we'll be in Moorea with the family, hopefully or pretty much for sure, with some wind and big waves.after that Kailea has to go back to school in Huahine island, and me i'll be in NZ almost for a mounth for the snowkite camp with boarder patrol. I heard there's already some good snow ,,,, cooooooollll i'm already excited to ride some powpowwww again and to see the Ozone family.
yepaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hello everybody.

Winter is almost over, but when all kiters are thinking about water already, here in the alps ,the Lautaret crew are still in action. Actually today it's snowing again for two days on the forecast and since 3 weeks we were on easterly flow with great temperatures, which you can imagine we were on the search for new spots almost everyday.

And since a week ,Kailea is on holydays school, and imagine now that every morning she ask me "where is the wind", that feel so good to know she's on the same trip than us, sometimes she even check the forecast for us.

Kailea is getting so much better with the kite, but at the moment she's staying on ski, i think i should wait until she get really confident until using her snowboard.Cause for sure i think on our home spot, because of the steep, it's way easier to learn on ski.

she's using her 4 m and 6m axcess most of time , and it gets really windy , like 20 ,25 knots, she use her 2m Imp. Yesterday she did her first jump, but  it was by accident, because i was on her way she said, so now she wants to learn jumping, mamamiaaaa, it's not gonna be easy.

Her mum Titaua got the same best moment in our mountains, she ride almost everyday now, using the frenzy 11 and 9m most of time, and i tell this, she's just ripping up there, and ready to go back to the big waves yet.

then 4 days ago we'd the chance to ride on the glacier in la Grave, conditions are so good that you can jump (or i can jump) everywhere around, i can't wait for next session, but hurry up, the resort should close on the 4th of May.

I tell I'm so glad i discovered this sport ten years ago, i did so much new lines, discovering, some crazy freestyle, now with the perfect conditions we have , all the ski resort are closing, but i know i'm able to ride any where i want  until all the snow is gone. I'm still so excited to ride more ,cause now they're working on the road axcess to all the pass around and it's promising to us some of the best riding again.

yepaaaaaaaaa

so have good wind everybody, and take some waves for me, i'm comiiiinnngggg
